A Fair Go for all Australians
No extremism! No nonsense!
About Us: Our Vision
“A pragmatic voice for Aussie heritage: Past, Present and Future”
For us, being Australian isn't about being British and it is definitely not about being white—it's the grounded pragmatism forged ‘Down Under’. You see it in bush ballads where humour cut down tall poppies and the everyday bloke who scoffs at authority, but helps a stranger change a tyre. This culture was never pure—it was always fusing, adapting, contradicting itself. Our heritage includes stories of people who were both aggressors and victims, settlers and rebels, lawmen and outlaws - all navigating an economic system that rewarded both enterprise and exploitation.
We acknowledge our full history—the great, the good, the bad, the ugly—without mythmaking or melodrama. No pride. No shame. No extremism. Just Australians who understand their history as it was: a mix of grit, graft, and grim reality. Now, we pass on the useful bits—fair play, dry humour, distrust of dogma—and leave the baggage behind. No grudges, no glory. Just a clear-eyed look at where we’ve been, so we can get on with where we’re going.
We’re a bulwark against extremists who want to decimate this heritage for their petty culture wars or try to hijack it with bigotry. We promote classic Aussie instincts—fair go over ideology, humour over sermonising, accountability and a firm belief that no one gets special treatment at the BBQ. We have zero tolerance for race-baiters—whether they’re white supremacists or grievance-mongers. We support practical reconciliation with First Nations people. This means deeds, not dogma. A treaty? Perhaps. Token gestures? Pass. For this to happen we need honesty about the past—no denial, no wallowing in blame either. Let’s embrace the good, acknowledge the bad.
Our Core Values
1. A Fair Go for All: We support a fair go for all, egalitarianism, gender equality, secularism and irreverent humour. This requires transparent organisations, political accountability, freedom of association, and freedom of expression. Religious tolerance is also part of this, yet we reject the idea that the core of one’s identity should be shaped by a religious institution.
2. Honesty: We believe in honesty, saying things as they are. This includes honesty about history, but no wallowing in blame either. We respect and acknowledge First Nations people. However, the past is complicated. Study it properly, understand it, then let it be. From the First Fleet to the Frontier Wars, to Federation, the World Wars, the Australia Acts, Mabo and beyond. This isn’t about pride or shame—it’s about owning the story without getting stuck in it.
3. Anti-Extremism: We reject racism, sexism, grievance politics, and cultural gatekeeping. It doesn’t matter who you are or where you are from—just don’t turn out to be a nasty piece of work. If you think you are 100% right, you are probably wrong!
4. Pragmatism: We focus on practical steps—not performative activism, showmanship, or guilt trips. The truth lies in whatever works. If it works, it works—no need to faff about. If it doesn't work, don't pretend it does. Oh yeh, we are not a big fan of solutions that cause another problem.
5. Inclusivity: We embrace anyone who identifies with these Core Values, regardless of ancestry or background. We only exclude those who exclude themselves. Think you’re better than the rest? Yeh... nah! Everyone’s welcome here, as long as they’re not here to mess things up for others.
